Michael Zetterer, a 30-year-old German goalkeeper, moved from SV Werder Bremen to Eintracht Frankfurt for eight million euros in the summer. He is not ruling out a return. The goalkeeper temporarily held the starting position at Frankfurt before being benched again at the turn of the year. In an interview with the 'DeichStube', Zetterer stated that he could definitely imagine a comeback at the Weser. He remarked that after ten and a half years with the club, he had hoped his farewell was not permanent and that Bremen would always be somewhat of a home. He added that he is now at the best age for a goalkeeper, wants to play successfully for a few more years, and that one can never know where a career will go. The former Germany U21 international has made 11 Bundesliga appearances for Frankfurt this season. His contract with the club runs until June 2029. His current market value is €4.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
