Michael Frey Transfer from Queens Park Rangers to Grasshopper
Swiss striker Michael Frey has joined Grasshoppers for an undisclosed fee after a two-year period with Queens Park Rangers, where he scored 10 goals in 53 appearances. The 31-year-old, who has not been capped by the Swiss national team, was no longer a preferred player for manager Julien Stephan and had not scored or assisted in 13 Championship appearances this season. His position in the team hierarchy was lowered following the summer arrivals of Richard Kone and Rumarn Burrell. QPR CEO Christian Nourry told the club's website that he thanked Frey for his fighting spirit and professionalism during his time with the team. Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €700k.
