Mehdi Taremi Transfer from Olympiakos Piraeus to Nottingham Forest
Nikos Stamatelos stated that, so far, Olympiacos has no information regarding interest from Nottingham Forest in Mehdi Taremi, and also emphasized Jose Luis Mendilibar's appreciation for the Iranian player.
According to "The Athletic", Nottingham Forest is considering options to reinforce their attack, and Mehdi Taremi is one of their options. The club has created a shortlist of four players for striker targets, which includes the Iranian international from Olympiacos. Taremi is being considered due to his similarities with Chris Wood, who is anticipated to be sidelined for a long duration after knee surgery. Nottingham Forest is also one of several clubs monitoring the potential availability of Strand Larsen closely. The ownership of Evangelos Marinakis, who is in charge of both Olympiacos and Nottingham Forest, could be a significant factor if the club pursues its initial interest.
Nottingham Forest are considering Mehdi Taremi as one of four candidates to add to their attack. The 33-year-old Iranian joined Olympiacos in the summer of 2025 and has a contract with the Greek club that runs until June 2027. Discussions with Olympiacos would be uncomplicated because both clubs share the same owner, Evangelos Marinakis.
