Nottingham Forest consider Mehdi Taremi as forward candidate

The Olympiacos striker is one of four candidates being considered for a transfer to the Premier League club.

Nottingham Forest are considering Mehdi Taremi as one of four candidates to add to their attack. The club is seeking a new forward after Arnaud Kalimuendo left for Eintracht on loan. The 33-year-old Iranian, who joined Olympiacos in the summer of 2025, is on a final list that also includes Jørgen Strand Larsen of Wolves, Roma's Artem Dovbyk, and Youssef En-Nesyri of Fenerbahçe.

Taremi has scored 54 goals in 100 games for Iran. He has scored seven goals in 10 league appearances, and his contract with the Greek club runs until June 2027. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.50m. If Forest decides Taremi is the player to complete their trio of strikers with Chris Wood and Igor Jesus, discussions with Olympiacos would be uncomplicated because both clubs share the same owner, Evangelos Marinakis.
