CSKA Moscow agreed with Flamengo on the transfer of 70% of Mateus Gonsalves' rights for €7 million. All details were agreed upon, including the exchange of documents. However, the transfer was intercepted by Al-Ahli.

The management of Brazilian club Flamengo is asking for bank guarantees from Moscow's CSKA for the transfer of winger Mateus Goncalves. The Moscow club has offered €5 million for the player, with the payment to be split into four installments. The sports director of Flamengo is reportedly cold towards this offer and is demanding guarantees that the full amount will be transferred. Player's agents are not yet involved in the situation, and the player will not return to Flamengo's main squad until negotiations with CSKA are concluded.

CSKA's general director Roman Babaev confirmed that the club is continuing negotiations for the transfer of 20-year-old Brazilian winger Mateus Gonçalves from Flamengo. Gonçalves has been with Flamengo's senior team since January 2023, participating in 54 matches and scoring six goals. His current contract with Flamengo is valid until the end of 2027. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is €5 million. Other clubs, including Cruzeiro and Olympiakos, have also been linked with the player.
