It is reported that Chelsea are close to finalizing a deal for Union Santa Fe's 22-year-old Argentinian left-back Mateo del Blanco. Del Blanco, who can also play on the wing, had previously attracted interest from Boca Juniors and River Plate, though neither was able to sign him this past winter. Upon his arrival at Chelsea in the summer, the plan is for him to be loaned to BlueCo sister club Strasbourg instead of immediately joining Chelsea's squad. His contract with the Argentinian club runs until the end of 2028, and his market value is currently €4.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
