Mateo Chávez Transfer from Guadalajara to AZ

Mateo Chávez, a left-back from Guadalajara, is on the verge of joining AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands. The two clubs reached an agreement on April 19, with the Dutch club offering 2 million dollars for the player. This offer was accepted by Guadalajara after AZ Alkmaar expressed interest for a year. Mateo Chávez is expected to undergo medical examinations prior to signing his contract. The agreement outlines a four-year deal with AZ Alkmaar, while Guadalajara retains a percentage of any future sale of the player, which ranges from 40% to 50%. Additionally, Guadalajara holds the right to approve or decline any future transfers of the player.

Mateo Chávez, a left-back from Guadalajara, is set to join AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands following an agreement reached between the Dutch club and Guadalajara. AZ Alkmaar had shown interest in the player since February and made a bid of 2 million dollars to finalize his transfer. The 20-year-old has been acknowledged as the best defender in one-on-one situations during the current Liga MX season. Chávez, who emerged from Guadalajara's youth academy, has distinguished himself with 24 successful duels on the left flank, earning the title of top defender in one-on-one matchups this season. Furthermore, he ranks as the second-best player in Chivas for balls recovered in disputes, with 32 instances, and is considered one of the top prospects in Liga MX, also ranking third in the team for clearances (74) and recoveries (61).
