Widzew Łódź has reached an agreement with LaLiga newcomers Racing Santander for the transfer of 22-year-old Spanish left defender Mario García. The deal is said to be for a fee of half a million euros. The finalization of the transfer is conditional upon the player's decision to move to Poland. Clubs from Slovenia have also shown interest in the left defender, though specifics regarding this interest are not available. Should García agree to the move, he would be the second summer reinforcement for the Ekstraklasa club. García joined Racing Santander in January 2024, and his contract is valid until June 2027.
