La Liga club Espanyol has started to follow Fenerbahçe's Spanish attacking midfielder Marco Asensio. It is reported that the 30-year-old has become one of the Catalan club's most important transfer targets following an impressive season in Turkey, where he recorded 13 goals and 14 assists. Espanyol's new sporting director, Monchi, is looking to strengthen the team's attack after a difficult season in which they finished 12th. Asensio, who joined the Turkish club in September 2025, has a contract until June 2028 and has been capped 38 times for Spain. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €15.00m. Several other Spanish clubs, including Atlético Madrid, Sevilla, and Real Sociedad, have also been linked with him.
