Paris Saint Germain and Barcelona have gathered information on the 22-year-old Spanish defender Marc Pubill. Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea are also monitoring the defender. The interest in him is partly due to his ability to play as both a right-back and a central defender. However, Atletico Madrid considers Pubill a fundamental player for its future and does not appear to have any intention of selling him. The Spanish club has set a release clause for him of approximately 500 million euros and is reportedly considering a contract adjustment with a possible extension until 2031. Pubill joined Atlético de Madrid in July 2025 for a fee reported to be €16 million plus €4 million in potential add-ons. In February 2026, the club reportedly set a price of €80 million for him. His current market value on Transfermarkt is €28.00m.
