The club is reportedly looking for a left-footed central defender and is considering several options. Otavio Ataide da Silva, Fedde Leysen, and Axel Disasi are the primary names being discussed, while 30-year-old German defender Marc-Oliver Kempf of Como is being evaluated as an alternative. Kempf and Empoli's Gabriele Guarino are considered different types of players with varying experience levels, and the manager's preferences will also be a factor in the final decision. Kempf, a former Germany U21 international, has made 12 appearances and scored 2 goals in Serie A this season. He joined Como in August 2024 and has a contract until June 2027.
