Maher Carrizo Transfer from Vélez Sarsfield to River Plate

Maher Carrizo has decided to decline a transfer to the Millonario in order to wait for an offer from Europe, according to TYC. The player informed President Fabián Berlanga of his decision that he does not wish to continue in Argentine football and aims to move to European football. This situation causes the transfer to Núñez to fall through.

According to TyC Sports, an agreement existed between River Plate and Vélez Sarsfield for fifty percent of Maher Carrizo's transfer rights for a sum of seven million dollars. The negotiations stalled and the transfer did not proceed because Carrizo reportedly prefers a career in European football.

TYC reports that River Plate and Vélez reached an agreement to purchase 50% of Maher Carrizo's rights for a figure close to seven million dollars. The same report indicates that both clubs will remain partners in any future transfer. However, the negotiation between the clubs is not finalized, and there have been no decisive advances in recent hours.

According to Ole, River Plate has reached a principle agreement with Vélez Sarsfield for half of the transfer rights of Maher Carrizo. River Plate is reportedly willing to pay six million dollars, which is a little over five million euros, for the right winger's services. The transfer has not been completed because Carrizo has not yet made a decision. River Plate has set a deadline for Carrizo to decide by Monday whether to accept the proposal, and has stated that otherwise, the Argentine top club will move on. Carrizo is considering both the financial offer and the sporting aspect in his decision.

Stefano Di Carlo contacted the president of Velez Sarsfield, Fabian Berlanga, to request Maher Carrizo, a 19-year-old winger, as a replacement for Santino Andino. According to Ole, the two presidents spoke directly and are nearing an agreement. Maher Carrizo may be transferred to River Plate for 6 million euros for 50% of his rights, which would make him a player under dual 'ownership'.

TYC reports on the interest of River in signing Maher Carrizo, a promising young talent from Santiago del Estero. Maher Carrizo, a 19-year-old winger from Santiago del Estero, attracted interest from River. However, Vélez rejected the approach, emphasizing that Carrizo only wants to play for Vélez and move to Europe. His value is 16 million dollars.

Guillermo Barros Schelotto, the coach, stated that Maher Carrizo intends to remain at Vélez, although he recognized that market dynamics sometimes compel players to leave sooner than planned. There is a possibility of Carrizo transferring to River or being acquired by the City Group, but the player is perceived as mature and keen to complete his development at Vélez before moving on. Schelotto, who communicates with Carrizo frequently, highlighted the player's maturity and his strong desire to finish his development at Vélez prior to considering a transfer. Despite the market's unpredictability, Carrizo's primary focus is on continuing his growth at Vélez. The coach is hopeful about the potential of the current squad, even if no additional reinforcements are made.
