According to Sport.ro, Universitatea Craiova made an offer for Luquinhas, but negotiations quickly reached an impasse and the deal is currently considered off.

Luquinhas, a 29-year-old Brazilian and Portuguese left winger from Santa Clara in Portugal, is reportedly a target for Universitatea Craiova and appears to be leaving his current club. Universitatea Craiova has already submitted an offer for the player. Polish team Radomiak Radom is also interested in him. Luquinhas has a history with the coaches of both clubs, having previously worked with Filipe Coelho at Vilafranquense and Goncalo Feio at Legia Warsaw. He joined Santa Clara in September 2025, with a contract that runs until June 2027. His current Transfermarkt market value is €1.00m. In January 2026, a transfer fee of €60,000 to Radomiak Radom was reported. Historically, Luquinhas moved from Legia Warszawa to New York Red Bull for €3,200,000 in February 2022 and from New York Red Bull to Fortaleza for €2,300,000 in January 2024.
