Vasco is negotiating to sign 19-year-old Brazilian Lucas Rodrigues, a notable player for Goiás in Série B and a member of the Brazil U-20 national team, and the club is optimistic about completing the deal. Vasco's football department considers him a complete number 8, and within that department, Admar Lopes and Felipe are reportedly very fond of the player. They value his versatility to play in any of the three midfield roles and believe he has high potential and could be integrated into the squad immediately. Initial contact has already been made with Goiás, and Vasco has indicated that a proposal will be made for the midfielder. Rodrigues joined Goiás in January 2026, has a contract with the club until the end of 2029 and a current Transfermarkt market value of €150.0K. For the Brazil U20 team, he has 5 caps and 1 goal. In the 2025/2026 season, he has made 19 appearances and scored 2 goals in Campeonato Brasileiro Série B, and has 4 goals and 1 assist in 10 appearances in the Campeonato Goiano.
