In February 2024, Chimy Ávila completed a transfer from Osasuna to Real Betis for a reported fee of €4 million. More recently, in September 2025, a proposed deal with Pumas UNAM, structured as a paid loan with a mandatory purchase option, reportedly collapsed; the total value of this deal was said to be around €2 million. His market value according to Transfermarkt was reported as €2 million in September 2025, and later as €1.5 million in January 2026.

Our valuation is driven by the clear decline from the €4 million fee Real Betis paid for Chimy Ávila in February 2024. His subsequent poor form, injuries, and the club's explicit desire to sell have lowered his value significantly. The strongest indicator of his current price is the reported failed deal with Pumas UNAM in September 2025, which was structured for a total of approximately €2 million.
