Lucas Gourna-Douath, a 22-year-old French defensive midfielder, has joined Le Havre on loan from Salzburg until the end of the season, despite interest from Glasgow Rangers and Valencia. The purpose of the move is to relaunch his career after injuries limited him to five appearances this season. His contract with the Austrian club is valid until June 2027. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €4.00m. The player's transfer from Saint-Étienne to Red Bull Salzburg in July 2022 was for a fee of €13M. In January 2025, it was reported that Salzburg was asking for a minimum of €20M.
