Lucas Assadi, an attacker for Universidad de Chile whose name was mentioned in connection with Independiente in the early transfer market, has dismissed a potential move. Assadi asserted to Radio ADN that the rumor is false and that there is no possibility of a transfer, and stated he would never go to Independiente. His stance is reportedly linked to past incidents in which fans of Independiente attacked supporters of the Chilean club. While rejecting this move, Assadi, whose contract expires at the end of 2026, acknowledged that he might leave Universidad de Chile during that year.
