Derby County would have to pay £5m to acquire Plymouth Argyle's Lorent Tolaj. The forward has been linked with a move to the Championship after a season in which he has scored 21 goals in all competitions and registered five assists. Football Insider claims that it will cost any Championship club £5m to sign him from Argyle. Argyle boss Tom Cleverley says no offers have yet been submitted for the striker.

Derby County is one of several Championship clubs linked with Plymouth striker Lorent Tolaj. Football Insider reports that Derby is the latest club tracking the Swiss striker. Tolaj is likely to cost a seven-figure sum because he has three years remaining on his contract. Plymouth boss Tom Cleverley said that the club has not yet received any bids for Lorent Tolaj and that neither he nor director of football Derek Adams has received any phone calls. Cleverley added that Tolaj has not expressed a desire to leave the football club, but will attract some interest and inquiries.

Derby County and Millwall, along with other Championship clubs, are interested in signing Plymouth Argyle's 24-year-old Swiss forward, Lorent Tolaj. Derby views Tolaj as an ideal replacement for the injured Patrick Agyemang. Tolaj has been capped by Switzerland at U19 level, joined Plymouth in August 2025, and is under contract until June 2029. His current market value is listed by Transfermarkt as €500k. Reports in January and April 2026 suggested a potential transfer fee of around €6 million. As of April 2026, Plymouth was reportedly expecting 'several million euros' for the player.
