Liam Delap has been linked with a Stamford Bridge exit this summer. Hull owner Acun Ilıcalı admitted to the Daily Mail that for this season, he did not even ask Chelsea about the striker. Ilıcalı stated that they love Delap and he hopes the player loves them. Delap spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Hull and scored eight goals in 31 Championship games.

Hull City are open to having former loan striker Liam Delap return, but a deal is not currently considered close. The financial aspects of a potential move appear challenging, as Chelsea wants to recover as much of the £30m fee they paid for him as possible. Delap is under contract with Chelsea until June 2031 and has also attracted interest from other clubs, including Everton and Newcastle United.
