According to FT, German-Brazilian midfielder Leonardo Bittencourt, 32, is in concrete talks with Saudi clubs. Al Shabab had previously made a lucrative offer for the midfielder last summer, but he decided to stay at SV Werder Bremen for another year. As his contract is now expiring, a free transfer seems likely, despite internal discussions at Werder about offering him a new contract. Union Berlin from the Bundesliga has also recently shown interest, and he has been linked with potential moves to Brazil or the MLS. Bittencourt, who joined Werder in July 2020, has made 15 appearances and provided one assist in the Bundesliga this season. The former Germany U21 international has a current market value of €1.20m, according to Transfermarkt.
