Senegalese central defender Mamadou Thierno Barry will play in Saudi Arabia next season, moving to Al-Shabab on a one-year loan deal which includes a purchase option. He joined Union Saint-Gilloise in January 2025 from Tromsø and made four appearances with the first team over a season and a half.

Union SG is reportedly close to parting ways with 21-year-old Senegalese defender Mamadou Thierno Barry, who is said to be likely to join Saudi team Al-Shabab. Barry joined the Belgian club in January 2025 and has a contract until 2029. He made two appearances in the Jupiler Pro League last season, and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €1.20m.
