Ladislav Krejci was strongly linked with a departure in the summer. Peixoto explained that both Krejci and Santiago Bueno are high-earners and the club wanted to sell a player, with Krejci or Santi being the most valuable. Peixoto stated that a decision had to be made by the end of the window on whether Krejci or Santi would leave, and because Krejci is staying, Santi must leave.

Saudi Arabia remains an option for Ladislav Krejci, a 27-year-old Czech Republic international. He was open to leaving Wolves this summer but did not secure the transfer he sought. Krejci, who has 30 caps and 6 goals for his country, joined Wolves in July 2026 on a contract that runs until 2030. His current market value is €22.00m, according to Transfermarkt. He had been linked with clubs including PSV and Leeds United, and in June 2026, reports indicated Leeds was preparing an offer of £26 million.
