AZ is interested in signing Kristian Hlynsson, the 21-year-old Icelandic attacking midfielder from Ajax, as reported by Icelandic sports journalist Orri Rafn Sigurdarson. Hlynsson, who is also attracting interest from FC Twente, Fortuna Düsseldorf, and Hertha BSC, had been on loan at Sparta Rotterdam where he made 14 appearances in the Eredivisie, scoring twice and providing three assists. Ajax is reportedly open to his departure, having previously attempted to include him in a deal for Robin Roefs, which NEC declined. Hlynsson's contract with Ajax is set to expire in the summer of 2026.
