Kanya Fujimoto is expected to depart from Birmingham City this summer. Fujimoto, who joined on a free transfer from Gil Vicente, stayed at the club in January, which led to some hope of a second chance. However, this did not occur. The attacking midfielder is expected to be among the players leaving as BCFC intends to improve its squad for the next season.

Kanya Fujimoto, a 26-year-old Japanese attacking midfielder, has played 61 minutes this season over two Championship appearances. Davies has no plans to utilise him. There have also been calls for Fujimoto to be a priority sale for the club before the 2nd February deadline. Fujimoto, who has five caps for Japan U20, joined Birmingham City in July 2025 and has a contract until June 2028. His current market value is €4.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
