Kaly Sène Transfer from Lausanne Sport to Middlesbrough
Kaly Sène has transferred to the English Championship club Middlesbrough, a move confirmed by both teams. The 24-year-old Senegalese forward, who played a pivotal role in Lausanne's strong start to the season, has signed a four-year deal with Middlesbrough. His non-participation in the Conference League qualification match suggested the impending transfer. Lausanne-Sport indicated that they did not wish to impede his progress, even though he still had a year remaining on his contract. Sène, who has netted three goals this season and is currently second in the Super League's top scorers chart, was an essential figure for Lausanne under the guidance of coach Peter Zeidler. With previous stints at FC Basel, Omonia Nikosia, and the Grasshoppers, Sène joined Lausanne in 2023 and scored 25 goals in 86 matches. Lausanne is anticipated to receive a significant transfer fee for the striker. Transfermarkt estimates the player's market value at €2.00m.
