Jude Bellingham Transfer from Real Madrid to Liverpool

Defensa Central reported on December 1, 2025, that Liverpool have already been in contact with Jude Bellingham's agent, his father Mark Bellingham, regarding a potential deal in 2026. E-Noticies reported in January that Liverpool are planning to make a bid for Bellingham in the summer of 2026. According to a claim from Sports Boom, Madrid have set a price of at least £120million (€138.6m, $165.1m) for Bellingham. Sources have told TEAMtalk’s transfer insider, Dean Jones, that Liverpool plan to sign a midfielder in the summer of 2026.

According to a Spanish report, Liverpool are planning to pay €200 million to Real Madrid for Jude Bellingham in 2026. The Catalan media outlet E-Noticies has claimed that Liverpool view Bellingham as a structural solution. The report notes that while Real Madrid do not want to sell any of their major stars, including Bellingham, such a sum could be very tempting. According to E-Noticies, the signing of Jude Bellingham would be ruled out if Xabi Alonso were to become the Liverpool manager in 2026. The reason given is that Bellingham struggled to fit into Alonso’s system at Madrid, and the report states it would be strange for Alonso to request a deal for the Englishman because he failed in his system at the Estadio Bernabeu.

El Nacional reports that Liverpool have offered €130 million (£112.8 million, $151.7 million) for Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham. The Englishman is not in a hurry to leave but has warned Los Blancos that he must be guaranteed a leading role at the club if he is to stay.

Fichajes reports that Liverpool are preparing a bid of 180 million euro for Jude Bellingham. Liverpool want Bellingham to become their new superstar and believe the player's status will quickly repay the transfer fee. Real Madrid initially do not want to sell, and Florentino Perez is currently maintaining his position. Bellingham has a contract with Real Madrid until 2029, and Xabi Alonso considers the English international an essential starter. Ekrem KONUR also reported that Liverpool are ready to make a €180 Million bid to bring Jude Bellingham to Anfield.

Jude Bellingham was strongly linked with a move to Liverpool before ultimately joining Real Madrid. Bellingham himself commented that the move to Liverpool "probably wasn’t as close as a lot of the media made out." He had conversations with a few clubs when leaving Borussia Dortmund, but Real Madrid's offer was hard to turn down.

Two years ago, Liverpool devised an intricate strategy to secure Jude Bellingham's transfer to Anfield. Faced with the need to rejuvenate their ageing midfield, Liverpool were eager to bring Bellingham back to England. Their plan included enlisting Liverpool and England players Henderson and Alexander-Arnold to win over Bellingham during international matches. However, despite these efforts, Bellingham ultimately opted for Real Madrid, signing with them in the summer of 2023 for £115 million.

Jude Bellingham has rejected a move to Liverpool.

Indeed, it was Liverpool who led the race among English sides, but the Reds soon pulled out when they accepted they could not compete with the Spanish outfit financially.

Liverpool does not buy the biggest stars like Jude Bellingham according to Jürgen Klopp.
