Tony D'Amico, Roma's sporting director, is monitoring Sevilla's 22-year-old Spanish right-back Juanlu Sánchez as a candidate to reinforce the right side. The club is looking to sign a new starter for a fee not exceeding 15 million euros. Sánchez is one of three young and financially sustainable profiles being followed, alongside Givairo Read of Feyenoord and Ivan Fresneda of Sporting CP. It is reported that Roma aims to accelerate its efforts in the coming days to secure a new player for coach Gian Piero Gasperini. Sánchez has been capped 13 times for Spain's U21 team, has a contract with Sevilla until 2029, and a current market value of €10.00m on Transfermarkt. Other clubs that have recently been linked with the player include Napoli, Atalanta, and Fiorentina.
