Juan Córdoba Transfer from Dinamo Zagreb to Houston Dynamo

Juan Cordoba, who transferred to Dinamo Zagreb a year ago for a fee of 2.1 million euros and signed a contract valid until the summer of 2028, is set to leave Zagreb temporarily. He is anticipated to spend the next season on loan with MLS team Houston Dynamo, which holds an option to purchase his contract next summer. Cordoba experienced limited playtime at Dinamo Zagreb, making only 17 appearances last season, during which he scored two goals and provided three assists. Reports indicated that he was close to joining Sporting Gijon, although the deal was not completed. It is alleged that Cordoba is undergoing a medical examination at Houston Dynamo. The 22-year-old Colombian joined Dinamo with high expectations but only started in seven out of his 17 appearances, completing just two full matches, and accumulated a total of 754 minutes on the field. His last appearance occurred in mid-March, and he did not participate in the final ten league matches of the season. Houston Dynamo, featuring former AEK and Spartak Moscow player Ezequiel Ponce as a prominent figure, currently ranks 12th in the Western Conference, three points short of a playoff position.
