Club director Jan Willem van Dop has clarified that Joris Kramer, a 29-year-old Dutch centre-back, has been given permission by Go Ahead Eagles to pursue a transfer. Van Dop explained that an arrangement was made with the player after the club rejected initial contact from FC Groningen. According to the director, this agreement gives Kramer until August 1 to find a new club, provided an acceptable offer comes from PSV, Ajax, Feyenoord, AZ, or a foreign team. Van Dop also revealed that a bid from a Turkish club has been received but was not considered respectful, and the club did not respond to it. He noted that despite the arrangement, the new trainer is eager to keep the captain, and the club is making every effort to retain him. Kramer joined Go Ahead Eagles in July 2023, is under contract until 2028, and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €1.80m.
