Saudi club Al-Ittihad made an inquiry for RB Leipzig's 23-year-old Belgian winger Johan Bakayoko late on a Thursday evening after their desired transfer for Anis Hadj Moussa from Feyenoord Rotterdam was unsuccessful. It was reported that Leipzig was not prepared to negotiate, particularly as the European transfer window had already closed. During the summer, Bakayoko had not been seriously considered for sale, though there had been rumors of interest from Florence. Bakayoko, who has 18 caps and one goal for Belgium, joined Leipzig in July 2025 and is under contract until 2030. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €20.00m.
