Joel Ordóñez Transfer from Club Brugge to Olympique Marseille

Joel Ordonez is one step away from transferring to Olympique Marseille from Club Brugge. The transfer fee is €30 million plus €3 million in bonuses. Ordonez has requested to be sold because he wants to sign a contract with Marseille, which is ready until 2030. Club Brugge acquired Ordonez in the summer of 2022 for nearly €4 million. He has a contract with Club Brugge until 2028 and a market value of €28 million.

Ecuadorian centre-back Joel Ordonez, 21, is currently not participating in training sessions with Club Brugge as he concentrates on finalizing a move to Olympique Marseille. The club is aware of his desire to transfer. Club Brugge coach Nicky Hayen noted that Ordonez has been struggling with hamstring issues and that he is focused on the transfer. Ordonez's contract with the Belgian club runs until June 2028, and according to Transfermarkt, his market value is approximately €28.00m. Besides Marseille, clubs like Roma and Inter have also shown interest in the defender. Despite this, the club does not intend to sign a replacement for the Ecuadorian player at this time, opting to rely on their current group of defenders. With the transfer window still open, the club remains receptive to any future developments, even though they are not actively seeking new signings at the moment.
