Deportivo La Coruña are considering signing 24-year-old Jesús Castillo if they are promoted to La Liga, but other clubs are also interested in the Peru international midfielder. Panathinaikos, Internacional, and Cruz Azul have also enquired about the player. His current club, Universitario, is understood to be open to offers of approximately €1m. Castillo, who has 17 caps and one goal for Peru, is under contract until the end of 2028. His current market value is €1.20m, according to Transfermarkt. He previously transferred from Sporting Cristal to Gil Vicente in July 2023 for a fee reported to be €1.0 million.
