Jean-Philippe Mateta Transfer from Crystal Palace to Tottenham Hotspur

The Daily Briefing reports that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta. Mateta has ruled out signing a new contract because of his desire to advance his career. The France international is approaching the final 18 months of his contract and could be available for approximately £40 million ($53.5 million).

Jean-Philippe Mateta is the subject of interest from The Red Devils, Newcastle, and Tottenham. The striker is reportedly open to a new challenge, having won silverware with Crystal Palace and been selected for the French national squad.

According to Football Insider, Crystal Palace have quoted a £40 million price tag for Jean-Philippe Mateta, who is a target for Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

Crystal Palace held out for more than £40 million for Jean-Philippe Mateta amid a late move from Tottenham in the summer transfer window, according to Keith Wyness via Football Insider. Palace have no intention to sell at the current price and consider Mateta too central to manager Oliver Glasner’s plans.

There was a late enquiry from Tottenham Hotspur for Jean-Philippe Mateta, the 28-year-old French centre-forward, before they signed Randal Kolo Muani on loan. Atalanta, AC Milan, Juventus, and several Premier League clubs were also linked with Mateta. The player's contract at Crystal Palace runs until June 30, 2027, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €30 million.
