Anderlecht has held talks with Jaydon Banel, a 21-year-old Dutch winger of Surinamese descent from Burnley. Banel is reportedly interested in the move. It is understood that Banel is allowed to leave the English club, where he is under contract until mid-2029. Burnley acquired the winger from Jong Ajax one and a half years ago for 1 million euro. Transfermarkt cites 1 million euro as his current market value. Banel recently completed a loan spell with English second-division side Derby County. Anderlecht intends to appoint a new coach before finalising any transfers. During the 2025/2026 season, Banel made 14 appearances and scored 3 goals in the Championship, and also made one appearance in the Premier League. He has represented the Netherlands at the U20 level.
