Sources have told Football Insider that Coventry City are monitoring Birmingham City forward Jay Stansfield. The transfer window closes in early September. Birmingham are understood to be willing to consider offers for the 23-year-old England youth striker. He is expected to require a significant fee following a previous £15 million move from Fulham. Coventry, who were promoted as champions under Frank Lampard, are the most recent of several Premier League clubs to show interest in the player. Football Insider has reported that Ipswich and Hull are also interested. Everton and Sunderland have previously monitored the player's progress. Stansfield has nine caps for England U21, joined Birmingham in August 2024, and is under contract until 2031. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €18.00m.
