Istra's defender, Iurie Iovu, will spend the rest of the season on loan at Spanish club Alaves.

Iurie Iovu, a young Moldovan national team stopper, is training with Deportivo Alaves for a week as part of an initiative where players from Istra 1961, which is majority-owned by Baskonia Alaves, train with the Spanish club. This move aligns with Deportivo Alaves' vision for creating a global youth development system to benefit both clubs, Istra 1961 and Deportivo Alaves. The players, including Iovu, will stay until January 6th and then return to Istra 1961.
