Baouf, who left Anderlecht for SC Cambuur in the summer, has attracted significant interest after his performances for Morocco's U20 World Cup-winning side, for which he has earned 17 caps and scored one goal. Club Brugge reportedly views him as a potential option considering the possible departures of Joel Ordoñez or Zaid Romero. In the current Keuken Kampioen Divisie season, Baouf has made five appearances and scored one goal. His contract with Cambuur runs until 2028, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €700k.
