According to Voetbalnieuws.be, Club Brugge is monitoring Ismaël Baouf. Baouf is under contract at Cambuur until 2028, and the contract includes a club option. The same report states that due to the long contract and interest from multiple clubs, Cambuur has a strong negotiating position, which could increase the price to more than one and a half million euro. Transfermarkt estimates his value to be approximately 700,000 euro. Club Brugge considers Baouf to be a defender who is suitable for their aggressive, high-pressing style.
According to transfer journalist Ekrem Konur, Club Brugge is following Ismaël Baouf, as are Lille and Bologna. The 19-year-old Moroccan-Belgian defender has also previously been linked with Ajax, PSV, Feyenoord, and AZ. Baouf, who left Anderlecht for SC Cambuur in the summer, has attracted significant interest after his performances for Morocco's U20 World Cup-winning side, for which he has earned 17 caps and scored one goal. Club Brugge reportedly views him as a potential option considering the possible departures of Joel Ordoñez or Zaid Romero. In the current Keuken Kampioen Divisie season, Baouf has made five appearances and scored one goal. His contract with Cambuur runs until 2028, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €700k.
