Igor Matanovic, a target for Tottenham, was asked about the high-profile interest earlier this week. Matanovic said that he is not thinking about that and is concentrated on his performance because he knows everything depends on how one trains and plays. He added that when there is talk of interest from such clubs, it is an indication that a person is performing well.

Tottenham and Manchester United are tracking SC Freiburg striker Igor Matanovic ahead of the January transfer window. According to Ben Jacobs, a January move to Tottenham may be more likely for the player, although it is doubtful that the Bundesliga club would easily allow his departure. Ben Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT that Tottenham are prepared to add another striker mid-season in the winter market if their goal-scoring rate decreases. Jacobs also stated that the situation involving Igor Matanovic and Tottenham could be one to watch, and that Spurs and Manchester United both appreciate the player. He further noted that Tottenham are assessing the situation now and could potentially add another source of goals mid-season, but that players are more difficult to acquire in the winter market than in the summer.

A report from FussballNews in Germany claims that Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to increase their interest in SC Freiburg striker Igor Matanovic. The publication states that his performances have drawn increasing attention from England, and that Tottenham are monitoring the striker's physical profile and his ability as a forward. It is also reported that no formal offers have been made yet. Tottenham scouts will continue to monitor Matanovic’s progress throughout the first half of the season. Freiburg are not currently eager to sell and would reportedly ask for a price of approximately €35-40m (£30-34m) if they were to consider a sale.

Media speculation is linking Igor Matanović with a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur, with the club reportedly considering signing the Freiburg striker. The Croatian international stated to reporters that from his perspective, he is currently at Freiburg and there has been absolutely no contact with anyone from his side. It is mentioned that Tottenham would need to make an extremely high offer for Freiburg to consider a sale before the transfer window closes tonight, because Matanović is under contract until June 2029.
