Chelsea remain interested in signing Ibrahim Mbaye. Investigative journalist Romain Molina alleges that there are issues in Ibrahim Mbaye's entourage, accusing the player's parents of being a poor influence on the teenager. Molina describes a poor physical condition, which he attributes to an unhealthy diet, as a reason for Mbaye's lack of playing time at PSG and why the club are willing to consider offers for him. Mbaye has reportedly been represented by three different parties over the past 12 months, including his parents, which has complicated a potential transfer. While the 18-year-old's affairs are now supposedly handled by agent Jorge Mendes, the two have reportedly never spoken to each other. Molina has issued a warning to Chelsea that he described as a 'red alert'.

RMC Sport reported that Chelsea has recently inquired about the situation of Paris Saint-Germain winger Ibrahim Mbaye. Paris Saint-Germain would only consider discussing a transfer if an exceptional offer is made and values the player at over 50 million euros. Additionally, Ibrahim Mbaye has recently joined the agency Gestifute, which Jorge Mendes represents.
