According to a report from El Intransigente, Liverpool are interested in signing 18-year-old Argentinian-Chilean River Plate winger Ian Subiabre. The Anfield club faces competition from Chelsea, Manchester City, and Arsenal, and the latter two have scouted Subiabre for months. The winger recently signed a new deal with River Plate that includes a €100 million release clause. It is thought that Liverpool are unlikely to meet this figure and will instead try to negotiate a lower fee for the player. Subiabre joined River Plate in January 2024. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €1.20m. He has been capped 15 times for Argentina's U20 team, scoring 5 goals.
