Pete O’Rourke reports that Barnsley are interested in acquiring 20-year-old Wrexham midfielder Harry Ashfield. Barnsley are one of several clubs, including Peterborough, Rotherham, Gillingham and St Mirren, that have made an offer for the Wales U21 international. He is reportedly keen to leave Wrexham because he feels his pathway is blocked. Ashfield joined Wrexham in July 2024 and has a contract until 2027. His current Transfermarkt market value is €150k.
