Fenerbahçe is attempting to sign Racing Santander's 23-year-old Colombian midfielder Gustavo Puerta for its under-23 quota. The president of Olympiakos, Evangelos Marinakis, announced that they had agreed to pay the player's €16 million release clause but did not persuade him. Marinakis added that Puerta wants to go to Benfica, and the player is under contract with Racing Santander until 2029.
