Gonzalo Villar Transfer from Dinamo Zagreb to Deportivo La Coruña
According to Index.hr, Deportivo La Coruña has a continued interest in Gonzalo Villar. Villar is a long-term target and considered an alternative option to Riki Rodriguez. Villar transferred from Granada to Dinamo Zagreb last summer for three million euros and signed a contract until 2029, which makes his transfer financially very demanding. Villar has received several offers, mainly from Spanish league clubs, and could also find employment in the East, but for now, neither he nor the club plan for his departure.
Index.hr reports that Spanish media are linking Gonzalo Villar with Deportivo La Coruña. Deportivo La Coruña is the second-placed club in the Segunda División. It is reported that Dinamo would be willing to reduce costs and try to recover as much as possible of the 3 million euros invested in the player. Villar joined Dinamo from Granada this summer for 3 million euros and signed a contract until the summer of 2029. He mostly does not play. Despite his lack of playing time, Villar is still valued in Spanish circles.
Olivari stated that Deportivo holds an interest in Gonzalo Villar, adding that the player has not established himself, was regarded as quite expensive, and was removed from the starting eleven early by Kovačević. Olivari expressed an opinion that a departure for Villar is realistic because he will not receive opportunities with the current squad, which contains many quality midfielders, and because Villar currently holds the status of Mudražija.
Deportivo La Coruna is interested in signing 27-year-old Spanish midfielder Gonzalo Villar this winter. The player's playing time has decreased at his current club, Dinamo, where he has started only four times over 15 appearances. Villar, who has a contract until June 2029, is open to returning to his home country and considers the project at Deportivo appealing.
