VI reports that Dévy Rigaux will only enter negotiations for Givairo Read if the offer is 25 million.

Feyenoord rejected Nottingham Forest's official offer of €17.5 million for Givairo Read. According to sources, Forest are preparing an improved offer that is expected to be over €20 million (£17m, $23m). TEAMtalk reports that Feyenoord value Givairo Read between €25 million and €30 million (up to £25.5m, $34m). Forest have held positive discussions with Read's representatives and are confident personal terms can be agreed if a deal is reached with Feyenoord. Sources state the defender is interested in a move to the Premier League and is particularly interested in the prospect of playing under Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner.

Transferexpert Fabrizio Romano reports that Nottingham Forest has submitted a proposal to Feyenoord for Givairo Read, following earlier reporting by Voetbal International. Feyenoord rejected Nottingham Forest's first proposal of 17.5 million euros, as technical director Dévy Rigaux did not agree to that amount. According to Romano, Nottingham Forest is expected to return soon with a new offer for Read. Forest is the first club to officially approach Feyenoord for Givairo Read.

According to Voetbal International, Nottingham Forest made an opening bid for Givairo Read. Feyenoord technical director Dévy Rigaux rejected the proposal.
