Nottingham Forest will make an opening bid for Feyenoord's 20-year-old Dutch defender Givairo Read on Thursday. The Premier League club intends to bring the defender to England and wants to act quickly due to competition from other interested clubs, which include Bayern Munich and Manchester City. Read has attracted attention despite being sidelined with an injury for a large portion of this season. He joined Feyenoord in July 2024, is under contract until June 2029, and has one cap for the Netherlands U21s. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €25 million, while reports from April 2026 indicated Feyenoord was demanding over €30 million.
