It has been reported that the Italian club Como have remained interested in Geny Catamo.

Como FC had made strengthening its attack with Sporting CP's winger Geny Catamo a priority, but all of the club's attempts were rejected. According to A Bola, a recent offer of €25 million from Como FC was considered insufficient compared to the €60 million release clause demanded by Sporting CP. Following this refusal, Como FC has decided to abandon the pursuit and is now turning to other targets.

Como submitted an initial €25M offer for Geny Catamo, a 25-year-old winger from Mozambique, which Sporting rejected. The Italian club has since increased its bid, and negotiations are ongoing with an unpredictable outcome. Sporting's directors are asking for a fee near the player's €60M release clause, as his contract is valid until 2028. Como had also shown interest in the player last year when the valuation was between €25M and €30M, though a deal did not advance. The Saudi club Al Ittihad is also monitoring Catamo but has not made a formal offer. Catamo joined Sporting in July 2023, has a current market value of €20.00m according to Transfermarkt, and has 42 caps for Mozambique, having scored 15 goals.
