Napoli are in ongoing talks with an intermediary and have opened negotiations for a potential summer deal for Gabriel Martinelli. Arsenal will not sell Martinelli this summer unless they are able to find a suitable replacement before the transfer deadline. Gabriel Martinelli was omitted from Arsenal’s matchday squad for the Community Shield final against Manchester City and is open to leaving the club if an attractive offer arrives before the end of the window.

According to Tuttomercato, Gabriel Martinelli is a market target for Napoli, and recent exploratory contacts have taken place for the player. The Italian club is reportedly studying the conditions for a possible deal. Napoli is observing Martinelli while waiting to complete the necessary sales to create space in their attack. Arsenal's moves in this final phase of the transfer market are also a factor being considered.

Napoli has initiated contact with Arsenal for 25-year-old winger Gabriel Martinelli. The Brazilian is being pursued by Napoli, and Roma has also been linked with the player. Martinelli recently rejected a transfer to Galatasaray, which had made a €45 million offer. Arsenal's asking price for the player was reported in August 2026 to be at least €50 million.
