Gabriel Suazo Transfer from Toulouse to River Plate
Gabriel Suazo is being considered as a secondary option for River Plate. Having recently become a free agent after departing from Toulouse in France, River Plate would only need to negotiate his contract without incurring a transfer fee. Suazo's name had also come up during the January transfer window. This season, he participated in 33 matches in Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France, contributing seven assists. In addition, River Plate is looking into other options for the left-back position to provide competition for Marcos Acuña and Milton Casco, with Lucas Esquivel being the primary target. However, the negotiations for Esquivel have reached an impasse, positioning Suazo as a feasible alternative if discussions do not advance. The club has a deadline of June 10 to register players for the forthcoming Club World Cup, although it was indicated that coach Marcelo Gallardo is prioritizing longer-term competitions such as the Copa Libertadores, Clausura, and Copa Argentina.
