According to Joshua Barrie of Rangers Review, talks have continued in recent months between Findlay Curtis and Rangers over a new contract. Curtis wants to play but is currently behind Djeidi Gassama on the left and will not play regularly on the right. Rangers have offered Curtis new terms after his call-up to the World Cup squad. An extension is dependent on Curtis agreeing to the offer. Barrie said that if the winger agrees to Rangers’ offer, it feels like extending his stay in Glasgow would be a sensible move for all parties.

There is optimism that Curtis will agree to a new contract at Ibrox. The Scotland international, speaking in midweek, stated that he had pushed for a loan and is very happy to be back at Rangers.

Findlay Curtis is nearing an agreement on a new contract at Rangers, as the club is accelerating talks to keep him at Ibrox. Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Rangers are doing all they can to secure Curtis with a long-term contract. According to Brown, Rangers want Findlay Curtis to sign a new contract, and plans are now being put in place to ensure he will not be persuaded to leave by interest from other places. Football Insider revealed on 8 May that Curtis is set to stay at Rangers next season and wants to play a significant role. Upon returning from the World Cup, he will be tested in Rohl’s pre-season plans and integrated into the squad, where he is likely to play an important role.

Curtis is expected to sign a new contract with Rangers as he becomes a first-team regular under Danny Rohl for the upcoming season.
