Dutch club AZ Alkmaar has presented an important offer to Palermo for 25-year-old Italian central midfielder Filippo Ranocchia. The Sicilian club has so far rejected the offer, with coach Filippo Inzaghi not wanting to lose a player he deems fundamental to his tactical plans. Ranocchia, who has been capped five times by Italy's U21 side, joined Palermo in January 2024 and his contract runs until 2028. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €4.00m.
