Filip Bednarek Transfer from Lech Poznań to Sparta Rotterdam

Filip Bednarek has left Lech Poznań after winning the national championship and is returning to the Netherlands. Sparta Rotterdam has confirmed the transfer of the 32-year-old goalkeeper. Bednarek signed a two-year contract with an option to extend for twelve months. Gerard Nijkamp, the technical director of Sparta Rotterdam, praised Bednarek as a reliable and experienced goalkeeper who knows the Eredivisie well from his previous time in the Netherlands.

Filip Bednarek is on the verge of leaving Lech Poznań to join Sparta Rotterdam. Jarosław Koliński has indicated that the goalkeeper is poised to strengthen Sparta Rotterdam soon. Bednarek's current contract with Lech Poznań is set to expire on June 30, 2025, and it has been understood for a while that there would be no extension. Despite interest from Ekstraklasa teams in acquiring the seasoned goalkeeper, he will not be playing in Poland in the upcoming season. He is anticipated to undergo medical examinations, and if those are successful, he will proceed to sign a contract with Sparta Rotterdam. The specifics of the contract remain undisclosed, but this move will allow him to play in the Eredivisie once again, a league he is familiar with from his previous stints with FC Twente, Utrecht, De Graafschap, and Heerenveen.
